Day 8

Today I decided that I would try baking a healthy cake...

Don't try this at home, seriously. This was so bad and believe it or not - it tasted just as bad as it looks!

I think I just have to realize that there is no shortcut to getting thin. It's hard work and it's hard work for a very long time. There isn't any magic pill that will rip off all of your fat. There is no machine you can step on and it will simply shake off your fat... If it was that easy we would all look like the models.

From nothing comes nothing

Day 7

So, what does a supermodel eat?

Well, who could better teach me how to eat like a supermodel than someone who have taught supermodels like Rosie Huntington-Whiteley how to eat clean and lean?

If you're thinking "NO ONE!", then here is your man: James Duigan

He has written a book called Clean & Lean Diet Cookbook with great and healthy recipes and even a 14-days diet that will slim your body and if you stick to that diet you're going to end up looking like this:

Not bad though, huh?

I've bought the cookbook on amazon, and I can't tell you how exited I am to start on the diet!

Day 6

Prepare yourselves for some pitiful whining...

Wheuu! Today I've been so tired it's crazy... I didn't get much sleep this night and I just started studying again so it wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that I'm seriously wasted.

I should've been training today, but my knees are hurting a bit and I'm simply way too tired to do almost anything hard, so instead I'm going for a walk for about an hour - this is really great to do when you have no energy because if you walk fast enough, you burn calories and you will sleep a lot easier if you have inhaled fresh air and if you have pain in the back or in any joint this will most likely ease up the pain

Enough with the whining...

My stomach has started bloating and my skin gets worse day by day - even though I'm eating healthier than I've done in years. This is, however, just a sign that I'm doing i right - and that I've been eating in the wrong way for a long time. Hopefully it will all get better in a couple of days.

I've gained 6,6 pounds so it's time for me to take a grip and really start working out with a vengeance! In the holidays I've lain too much in bed. All the healthy food has just been a lot to take in (haha, so funny) and I have been struggling so much that I haven't had the energy to work out that much, but I'm sure I'll soon get a boost of energy!  You can't just lay down for almost a whole day and then work out for 20 to 60 minutes if you really wanna treat your body nicely. Of course it's better than doing nothing, but it's also very important to keep you body going.

"The solution"

So I've decided to buy a Pilates DVD and when I get it, I'm going to work out every morning. The reason why it's good to do it in the morning is, that it gives you a boost of energy for the rest of the day so you will have reserves of energy to do cardio after work or school and in addition to that you will find it easier to fall asleep in the evening. But to be fresh enough to get up in the morning an hour earlier I also have to get a good night sleep.

For motivation I think that you should all see this picture. Even just staring at the lump of fat makes me sick and I don't know about you, but I'm ready to get a cellulite-free and tight body!

PS. I honestly have no idea what that pen is doing on the fat...

Day 5

So, I guess that the degree of difficulty is like mood swings because today was really not so bad. I was at a café with my friend and I had no problem just choosing the Caesar salad and it was lovely.

For dinner I made some red capsicum, steamed (for half a minute) spinach, steamed (for 2 minutes) broccoli and chicken breast. This was so good!

Now, I'm going to tell you how I made the chicken.

At first I marinated the chicken in some home made marinade made of:
(marinate for 1 or 2 chicken breast)

1 tablespoon of olive oil
2 twists of pepper
the juice from half a lemon
5 calves of garlic

Then, I let it marinate for about half an hour (it would actually have gotten better if it had been marinating for several hours, but I was hungryyy).

After that I heated the pan (you wanna heat it with the highest level) and greased it with - let's say - maybe a tablespoon or two of olive oil. Then I put the chicken breast on the pan and let it get golden brown on both sides.
When that is done the chicken is all raw inside, so to make it really juicy and done you have to pour 1 cup of water on the pan (still at the highest heat) and don't be afraid if the water boil over - maybe not outside the pan, but just heavily boiling - it's supposed to do that. This makes sure that the chicken is deliciously tender on the inside and crispy on the outside.

Now, at some point the water will have steamed and there is only a bit of brown juice left on the pan. You have to do this, adding a couple of cups of water on the pan before it's well done.
When You have done it 3-4 times, cut through the meat at the widest "point" of the chicken breast to check it it's done.
When it's done you are going to want to rub the chicken in the brown juice that is left. This will add a great taste to it.

Bon appetite!

Day 4

Suprisingly, today was actually a very hard day... I thought I had just gotten less sugar addicted and a bit stronger, but going to a restaurant with my boyfriend really tested me. I could have chosen nachos or a burger, but I ordered vegetables and pasta (the reason why I mention the vegetables before the pasta is that there were almost no pasta) and water. When we walked home from the city, we walked just by my favorite bakery and I looked at all the delicious cakes, literally drooling, and then I walked away - just like that.
To make matters worse, my mother asked me if I wanted to go buy some candy for myself and I said no. Again.

I felt like I was Job and that God was testing me.

So, I decided it was time to write down my measurements so that I can later on look back and see how my body has developed. Here it goes:

Upper thigh:  22,4 inches
Hip: 33,5 inches
Waist: 28,3 inches
Upper arm: 10,6 inches

To get rid of the fat on my body i skipped with my jumping rope doing about 15 reps of 1 minute each. One minute doesn't sound that hard, but trust me, it was deadly!

Day 3

So, today was a lot easier than yesterday, actually. It's like I'm getting de-toxicated and that my sugar addiction has decreased so that's really lovely.

I went shopping for some healthy - and yet yummy - food!

And then I made some delicious whole wheat tortillia-wraps with chicken breast and guacamole made of avocado (of course), spinach, tomatoes, red pepper, a squeeze of lemon, 4 cloves of garlic, some onion and one table spoon of olive oil. Loved it.

Finally I am beginning to think that this year isn't going to be a living hell. The only hell I'm gonna get is a hell of a hot body.

Day 2

I don't know if I will ever, ever get used to this...

This was my lunch after a hard work-out bicycling on an intense level!
I have never ever before craved unhealthy food as I have today. I had chicken filet for breakfast, and I'm not "allowed" to eat salt, so I guess you can imagine how salty the food have been.

At days like today it is really important to be focused on what the goal is and get inspired
